Saturday ESL Teacher Wanted (Possibly Friday Too!) Freelance position Auto-entrepreneur status required Plaisir de lAnglais Cormeilles-en-Parisis (95240), 17 min from St. Lazare Start date: Mid-September 2025 About Us We are a small, growing English-teaching company based in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, working with over 150 clients per year mostly loyal returning families or new clients through word of mouth. We've been doing this for close to 10 years, and our reputation is built on clarity, trust, and consistent effort. Classes take place in person (online only as a last resort) at two locations, just 220m apart. One also includes our little shop. All lesson plans are fully prepared and regularly improved. Class size is maximum 7 students. Age range: from GS (age 5) to BAC/university level. Popular days: Wednesdays (9:0020:00), Saturdays (9:00-16:00), Tuesdays & Thursdays (17:00-20:00). Fridays (15:30-20:00) may be added currently being planned. Students are evaluated before joining to ensure theyre motivated and understand what were about. We use British and American materials. Lessons may include reading, grammar/vocab, functional maths, real-life topics, and games no boring drills or memorisation. We're looking for someone who can bring their own experience into the classroom, help our students understand why they're learning (not just because a parent signed them up), and encourage genuine curiosity and growth. We're known for keeping it real: Real-life learning, not memorisation. Mistakes are part of learning. It's OK not to understand. Main Duties: Get familiar with the weekly lesson content (provided) Teach in-person classes Write brief comments after each lesson for each student Write term reports (paid separately) Correct lesson and homework sheets Be part of the team and contribute to our growth Able to arrive 30 minutes before class Before Applying This is a freelance position. You must be (or be willing to become) an auto-entrepreneur in France. We cannot offer CDI/CDD contracts. We cannot help with visa applications, housing, or taxes. You need enough French to handle basic admin independently.

The Ideal Candidate Organised, reliable, punctual You care about doing things well Minimum 3 years experience teaching children in groups (5-7 students, ages 5 - 15/18 ideally) Already registered as auto-entrepreneur in France (or willing to register) Holds a valid permit to live and work in France please state how many hours you can work Comfortable managing a group, with a creative and proactive mindset Available Saturdays at minimum; possibly other days too Stable internet in case of remote lessons (we haven't needed this since 2021) Willing to stay for at least one academic year French is not required for teaching but is helpful for basic admin or parent contact. Our students love that we're learning too!

What We Offer 6 - 10.5 hours/week, depending on the final schedule (starting mid-September 2025) 35 euros / teaching hour auto-entrepreneur status 45-minute group = 26.25 euros 90-minute group = 52.50 euros The 35 euros per teaching hour includes completing the following responsibilities: preparation, corrections, feedback, meetings, breaks, and transport.
